Captain Rob holds a 100-ton masters license with sail and commercial towing assistance endorsements and is certified in CPR and first aid. He is currently engineer and mate on the Research Vessel Rachel Carson for the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science after spending 29 years as rigging shop supervisor at Hartge Yacht Yard. Rob is an avid racing sailor and has competed in numerous Newport - Bermuda races and St. Maarten Heineken Regattas, winning and placing well in both. Rob and his wife Terri have been married for over 35 years and live on the West River.
